Always dope when Anthony Fantano reviews hip hop records amongst his indie rock-experimental repertoire.

Georgian Randall Naadir teams up with the Bronx’s Mark Pheonix over a Jonathan Lowell beat to wax tales of lost love. Both of these guys pretty much excel at these types of topics & this beat is one of those rare moments when Lowell switches up the beat several times for great effect.
Episode 15! 89er discusses his controversial confrontation with Saigon at his recent in-store signing. After listening I’m starting to wonder if this encounter is reflective of how things went awry for his long delayed album. The Strangers follow up with a breakdown of the whole Consequence vs Pusha T./G.O.O.D. Music situation & the importance/unimportance of record stores. Playlist features great music, especially this episode as there is a segment with Future Sound, Nikko Gray & Afta-1, & Cee-Lo. Sounds dope on paper & exceeds expectations in the podcast.
Of course the lovely Masia One would bless us with music for the Valentine season. Here are two collections of unreleased tracks & fan favorites fitting with the themes of the bright & dark sides of Valentine’s Day. Last thing I heard from Masia is that she has been doing work out in Jamaica (!) & has 2 projects in the works for this year. Tracklists & direct download links below.

N.O.M.A.D. is a Fort Worth, TX-based producer signed to Anime4Breakfast’s KC.93 Records. Best way to describe his sound is electronic jazz with an emphasis on percussion. Emphasis because a wide array of percussion instruments are utilized in these beats on this Nomadic Theory EP. Give it a listen for a real spaced out aural experience. Use these beats for your “raps” and die. MDNK.
NJ’s KhanArtist finally drops a video for his signature single “This Is Me” & a bonus cut “Wrath of Khan” (remix of “Roman’s Revenge”). Visuals go hard, especially the scenes with the graffiti bombed auditorium. Where do you see that nowadays?
An MDNK Academy presentation.
Nomad – Download – 2 Nickels & A Dime
Nomad goes in over one of our favorite tracks (Mommy’s Little Monster by illecism & Trade Voorhees) from the Childs Play mixtape.
Produced by Trade Voorhees. Keep eyes and ears open for “Pennies For My Thoughts”…. artwork by yours truly. More details coming up soon.
in the meantime, nomadicnobody.bandcamp.com
